Honors Programs-For high-achieving students, Illinois offers interconnected and cooperating honors programs at the campus, college, and departmental levels. The National and International Scholarships Program assists high-achieving students in applying for various nationally competitive awards, such as the Rhodes and Fulbright scholarships.
Career Services-One of the most important resources on campus is The Career Center, which acts as an umbrella for both college and departmental career centers across campus. Having a network of centers will greatly benefit you as an Illinois student-not only will you be able to utilize the larger center, but you’ll also have access to a center that specializes in your specific major. The Career Center provides invaluable services like career counseling, pre-health advising, resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and workshops on salary negotiations and professional etiquette.
Leadership Center—The Leadership Center's professionals are committed to helping you develop and enhance your executive skills through active participation in leadership consulting programs, leadership retreats, and a certificate program that involves extended leadership involvement through activities, classes, and employment.

Illinois has 1,000+ student clubs to choose from, running the gamut from academic to philanthropic to athletic to just for fun! Even if you can’t find one that fits your interests, you can easily create your own.
Centrally located among Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis, the University of Illinois is a large, public research institution with 32,000+ undergraduate and 11,000+ graduate students. It's one of the most diverse public universities in the Big Ten, and in-state students comprise about 58% of the undergraduate student body. At Illinois, you'll find a traditional college environment where a majority of students live on campus and life is centered around the Quad. Campustown offers a large assortment of restaurants, shops, cafes, and nightlife venues. The wide variety of cultural opportunities enhances campus life by providing an inclusive and educational atmosphere. Illinois offers one of the largest Greek communities in the nation. As a Big Ten university, Illinois also has 21 Division I sports teams.
