School Counseling Parent Advisory Committee
As part of the School Counseling Department Mission, we strive for collaboration with all members of the community, especially parents, in an effort to promote student success. An integral part of this collaboration is the School Counseling Parent Advisory Committee. The Parent Advisory Committee, in conjunction with the School Counseling Department, is extremely active in supporting both students and parents. For example, parents have helped staff the College and Career Center during the school day to make it more accessible to students. We also established a series of Parent-to-Parent evening coffee chats to enhance parents’ knowledge of college and career tools such as Naviance, the Common Application, and other school counseling resources.
